Study Work Programme

Our 'Study Work Programme' is aimed at ambitious international students who wish to study in the UK whilst also gaining valuable work experience.

The UK is home to world leading universities offering a range of degrees which can help fast-track your future career.

This, combined with the launch of the new Post Study Work (PSW) Visa (enabling international graduates to work in the UK for two years after they graduate), means there has never been a better time to apply to study in the UK.

Our programme gives exceptional international students the chance to build their skills and experience through short project placements with UK companies; giving them a competitive advantage in the increasingly competitive UK graduate employment market.

Our recent placements include companies in the UK space sector, financial technology (Fintech), web development, the music industry, female investment, and education technology (EdTech).

The benefits of our study work programme:

In a competitive graduate employment market, our programme enables students to gain experience that makes them stand out from the crowd. As a participant on our placements you get:

  • graduate-level experience at a UK company to add to your CV
  • experience working with a diverse team on a 'real world' problem
  • an opportunity to expand your professional network (including fellow team members and company contacts)
  • a reference from a UK company which is useful for future job applications
  • a certificate of completion to share on your social media and enhance your professional profile

What companies say:

We get great feedback from the companies who take students through our programme. The projects are short and problem-focused and the companies value the energy and fresh insights the students bring. Some students have even secured an ongoing role at a hosting company beyond the project.

Know.space, a specialist space economics consultancy company, took on a team of five students through our programme to undertake research into investment within the UK space sector. The team included students studying at the University of Liverpool, Manchester Alliance Business School, the University of Warwick,  The Univeristy of Oxford and Cranfield University

The team worked closely with the company founders who were extremely impressed by the knowledge and attitude of the team.

"We enjoyed hearing the students' fresh insights and international perspectives on our sector (and hopefully they learned a little about research and analysis in a real life consulting setting)."

Our student work placements are all undertaken virtually, enabling students to work flexibly on delivering projects with companies regardless of where in the UK their university or the company is based!
